Collapse ▲Every year before Easter our Cherokee County 4-H program teams up with Mrs. Lynn Hamby, Hiwassee Dam Modern Woodmen, and Hiwassee Dam Fire Department to host the annual community egg hunt. this year the egg hunt will be April 6th at 2:00 p.m. starting with our free hot dog lunch.
Lynn works hard all year round to get ready for this great annual tradition. She gets the whole community involved with helping stuff thousands of plastic eggs so that every egg has a prize in it.
Each year, 4-H, helps host the free hot dog lunch for all the participants and families. Families will be able to also enjoy taking pictures with Sparky the Fire Dog and the Easter Bunny. Youth will be able to enter our Easter Bonnet contest so be creative and bring your most elaborate bonnet you can make.
We have two separate hunts one for ages 0-5 years old and one for 6 and up. Food is free for all families. Come join us!!
