Kitchen Kit Collection Drive

Kitchen Kit Donation Drive for Hurricane Helene Relief

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, many people have lost their homes and all of their belongings, including their kitchens. This has made it difficult for them to cook and prepare meals for themselves and their families. To help these individuals and families get back on their feet, we are organizing a Kitchen Kit collection drive. We are asking for donations of new kitchen items during the month of February.

Once we have collected all of the donations, the items will be assembled into Kitchen Kits. Each kit will contain all of the essential items that a family needs to cook and prepare meals. We will then distribute the kits to families who have been affected by Hurricane Helene.

Example Kitchen Kit

We are asking for your help to make this Kitchen Kit collection a success. Please consider donating any new kitchen items by dropping them off at the N.C. Cooperative Extension – Cherokee County Center located in the Courthouse Annex Building at 40 Peachtree Street in Murphy by February 28th.

For those who would like to shop online, you may chose to do so from our Kitchen Kit Item List and these items will ship directly to location to be assembled and distributed.

For any questions, please contact Marlana Baker at (828)837-2210 ext. 5 or by email at marlana_baker@ncsu.edu.
