(Updated: March 14, 2025, 10:43 a.m.)

Douglas Clement is one of the eleven agents selected for the network to serve as a bridge between the state's growers and the N.C. Plant Science Initiative. Cherokee County Center is working with Dr. Qingshan Wei in Advanced Disease Diagnostics.  The technology being tested are microneedle patches that can be used to detect diseases in plants.  The goal is to develop a patch that would allow rapid detection of plant diseases. The N.C. PSI Network allows agents to test the new technology in the field and to provide feedback to the research team.
