Below are the Pesticide Safety classes for 2026. Click on each date to register for the class.
Saturday, May 16 at 9 a.m.-11 p.m.- Pesticide Safety V Training. The topics will include NCDA@CS Private Pesticide Safety Information, Whole Farm Approach To Pest and Pollinator Management, Preventing Herbicide Runoff For Cleaner Water, and Integrated Deer Management.
Saturday, May 9 at 9 a.m.-11 p.m.- Pesticide Safety X Training. The topics will include applicator responsibility and record-keeping, expectations of a pesticide inspection on a farm, and licensed applicators responsibility.
Saturday May 9 at 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.- Required Pesticide Certification and Training Standards Update (ALL Pesticide License Holders are required to complete this one and done training). This can also be completed online at the NCDA and CS Website. Do not forget to complete the training submission form when the class is completed.
If you have a private license and need recertification it is required that you attend one V and X class every three years. If you have a commercial license with A,B,G,H,I,K,K(PU),K(SA),L,M,N,O,T,D designation you can attend the X training and receive 2 hours credit for each class.
Classes are available at other locations and online if you cannot attend the classes listed above. A minimum of 5 participants must register for the class to occur. If the class is cancelled due to lack of registration an email will be sent on Friday prior to the class occurring. If you have questions please use agent assist or email me at doug_clement@ncsu.edu .
