NC 4-H Honor Club and 4-H Scholarship Information has been uploaded and placed on the NC 4-H Website. The due date is Feb. 1st at 5:00 p.m.

Scholarship Application/Guide is located under the Scholarship Heading.

Honor Club Application is located under General Forms related to the 4-H Awards Program.

The 4-H Awards Handbook which will be effective January 1, 2024 is also posted on the link above.

Due Dates:

A reminder that Feb. 1st  is the due date for 4-H Scholarship and 4-H Honor Club Applications. Please have the Honor Club application registered and uploaded by this date as well as the Scholarship Applications entered and uploaded by this date.

All applications:  Honor Club and 4-H Scholarships MUST be registered online. If they are not registered online, uploaded online (scholarship) Feb. 1st (Honor Club) applications will not be accepted.

4-H Scholarships:

North Carolina 4-H scholarships are offered to encourage 4-H members to continue their education beyond high school. The following provisions apply to educational scholarships awarded in the North Carolina 4-H Program.

ELIGIBILITY: Current North Carolina 4-H members who are graduating high school seniors are eligible to apply. Applicants must have accumulated at least a minimum of 3 years of 4-H work. All Scholarships will be directly paid to the college or university. They will not be made payable to a 4-H’er or his/her parents. Recipients must be full-time students.

Online registration will begin immediately and will close at 5:01 p.m. on Feb. 1st. See your local 4-H agent for information about 4-H Scholarships. Contact in Cherokee County, Shannon Coleman, shannon_coleman@ncsu.edu or call 828-837-2210 ext. 4.

4-H Scholarships will be handled electronically only this year except for the Financial Need Statement just as last year.

Honor Club Applications:

4-H Honor Club Member, 4-H Scholarship Recipient, Cherokee County 4-H Alumni, and recent graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, Chloé Harrelson

Membership in the North Carolina 4-H Honor Club is bestowed upon those 4-H’ers who have exhibited outstanding 4-H citizenship and leadership throughout their 4-H career. An Honor Club member continues to provide leadership and service to the 4-H program throughout life. You must have completed three or more years of 4-H club work and shall be at least 16 years of age and not more than 20 years of age on January 1 of the year of application. The total number of applicants inducted into the NC 4-H Honor Club shall be limited to .5% of the current enrollment of North Carolina 4-H members. New inductees will be expected to pay life-time dues the year that they are inducted. Some county 4-H programs pay their member’s dues.

The application is the same one we released in 2021. The application is linked below. 4-H’ers can download a copy directly to their computer and fill it out. Once it has been filled out, the 4-H’er will save it as a PDF and send it to the 4-H agent. The 4-H agent will need a head shot photo to submit along with the application.

One PDF copy of all Honor Club Materials as well as a digital photo of the 4-H’er is REQUIRED.
