Are you interested in learning about goat care and production on a few acres?  A Cherokee and Graham County joint effort will be conducting a workshop on August 19, 2025 at 10:00AM at the Extension Annex in Murphy, NC.  The workshop will be free and will discuss shelter, fencing, handling facilities, nutrition, reproduction, parasite management (FAMACHA), hoof trimming, predator control, and marketing meat goats.  The training will conclude at Noon.  If you are interested in the training please sign up through Eventbrite or visit go.ncsu.edu/mountainfarming.
