After 32 years of working for the Cherokee County Center of the N.C. Cooperative Extension, we say goodbye to our Administrative Assistant, Cindy Chastain.   Cindy began her career as the Extension Secretary and upon her retirement as our Administrative Assistant for the Cherokee County Center of the N.C. Cooperative Extension.

Cindy will be missed in all she has done for our office and our Extension Staff.  If you see her out and about as one of the Murphy Town Council Members or just being a grandmother to her beautiful grandchildren wish her the best.

So be patient with us if you don't get an answer to a phone call immediately or come by our office and the agents are out doing programming and no one is here.  We will be hiring someone but the process can take a little bit so just drop us an email or leave a voicemail and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
