Learn practices that a homeowner can adopt to help protect the home and neighborhood such as fuel breaks; cleaning the roof and gutters and trees from leaves; tree and plant spacing in the landscape. The Firescape Training is a self-paced, online course that can be completed in the comfort of your home and will include a blend of video presentations, activities, and on-line instruction.  The knowledge participants gain can be used to educate communities on firescaping and the wildfire risk reduction measures can be used to protect their home also. The Firescape Training will be offered two time in 2024.  Class will be held:

May 8 thru June 19, 2024-Firescape Training (Virtual except for 1 in-person meeting May 8 at 7pm )

Course work instructions will be provided to participants weekly in a virtual meeting for 6 weeks.

There will be one in person meeting at the meeting room at 699 Connahetta Street to provide an introduction to the course for each session offered on May 8 at 7pm.   You must attend the meeting and the remainder of the training will be online.
