Cherokee County 4-H Has a Busy Summer

Cherokee County 4-H has had a busy summer.  We have worked with 3 county summer day camp programs as well as participating in district and state events.

Youth in the Murphy Summer Camp, the 21st Century Summer Camp, and the Texana Community Summer Camp have been able to participate in 4-H curriculum activities all summer.

Youth have learned cooking techniques, made beaded wind chimes, participated in Junior Master Gardener activities, and even made pickles that will be going to the Mountain State Fair.

4-H provided the curriculum and taught most of the programs at the Extension Education Annex kitchen.  Some activities took place at the Texana Community Center.

Here are some of our summer activities in pictures:

Watch for our September news on our teens competing at 4-H State Presentations and participating in 4-H Congress.
