N.C. Cooperative Extension helps to strengthen our North Carolina families and communities. Our mission and our work are dedicated to improving the quality of people's lives. We rely on research-based information to develop educational programs based on the issues and the needs of our communities and citizens.

4-H serves as the youth development program of N.C. Cooperative Extension, helping youth prepare for future careers, serve their communities, and build skills for the future. We are "Making the Best Better".

Cherokee County 4-H has not had a new needs assessment survey in five year so to better understand the needs of Cherokee County youth and families we have created a new Youth Needs Assessment Survey. We have completed the assessment for 2023-2024. Since the COVID-19 pandemic things have changed from how programs are delivered, how we need to be marketing programs to families, and what program topics are now of greatest interest to and needed by county youth.

We would greatly appreciate it if you would share this link with other Cherokee County youth, parents, nonprofits, or anyone else who interacts regularly with youth in a formal or informal capacity.

Thank you for providing your input by completing this survey. Survey responses will help us plan and implement our 4-H youth development programs and processes for the next few years. And it will help the Cherokee County Center of the N.C. Cooperative Extension meet the needs of all our youth in Cherokee County.
