Cherokee County 4-H Horse Club members had several entries in the NC 4-H Horse Program Artistic Expression and Creative Writing Contest. A special congratulations to Eliana Meiners who was the 1st place winner in the Creative Writing Short Story Contest and the Champion for that category.

The 2024 NC 4-H Horse Program Artistic Expression Contest was held on July 12-13 during the NC State 4-H Horse Show. There were some outstanding projects submitted and the dining room of the Hunt Horse Complex was full of entries. Special thank you to NC Volunteer Leader, Amber Davis, for organizing the tabulation and judging for contests. The results for the Senior, Junior, and Cloverbud divisions are listed below. The winners of the Creative Writing contests were also announced. There was an increase in entries for several of the Creative Writing divisions, so thank you to all the 4-H’ers for sharing your writing!
