The Cherokee on the Fly 4-H Club members learn to tie flies, learn how to cast a fly rod so no previous experience is necessary. The club is free to join. Members will also be learning about the environment and different insects and creatures that they are tying fly’s to mimic. Youth do not need to know anything about fly fishing to join the club. The club meets the 3rd Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. until 5:00p.m. at the Extension Education Annex, adjacent to the Koneheta Veterans Parks office behind the Old Rock Gym, at 699B Connahetta Street, Murphy.  All youth grades 6-12, no matter what school or if they are home-schooled are welcome to join.
