Currently not meeting --Cherokee on the Fly 4-H Club
The club is not meeting this month we are looking for new volunteers please check back or call the office 828-837-2210 extension 4. The 4-H Fly Tying Club meets the 3rd Thursdays at 3:30p.m. until 5:00p.m. at the Extension Education Room, next to the Cherokee County Parks and Rec office behind the Old Rock Gym. All youth grades 6-12, no matter what school or if they are home-schooled are welcome to join.
The members learn to tie flies, learn how to cast so no previous experience is necessary. The club is free to join. Members will also be learning about the environment and different insects and creatures that they are tying fly’s to mimic. Youth do not need to know anything about fly fishing to join the club.
