The Dr. Russell C. and Mrs. Connie H. King Extension Program Teamwork Award has been established through generous gifts from the Kings, their colleagues, family and friends and is building to endowment.

Dr. King served as County Extension Director in Warren County before being named District Extension Director, a position he held for many years. Throughout his career, Dr. King encouraged his staffs to work in cooperative ways across county lines and across subject matter disciplines. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the concept of teamwork, and recognized the excellent programs that are developed when individuals become stronger because of their ability to collaborate with one another. It is fitting that the Dr. Russell C. and Mrs. Connie H. King Extension Program Teamwork Award be designated for teamwork across subject matter disciplines and/or across county lines.
