width="1024" height="730"Cherokee Riders 4-H Horse Club is changing its name to Cherokee County 4-H Horse Club. The club is still the same club with the same great leader but just changing things up a bit. So please join us for our next meetings which is also changing a bit. The club meets on the second Tuesday of each month, so the December meeting is December 14.

The club meets at the Extension Meeting Room, at  699 Conaheeta Street, Murphy. Turn on Conaheeta Street and take the 2nd left turn. The first left on Conaheeta Street is the Murphy Fitness Center and the second left will take you behind the Old Rock Gym to the parking area for our meeting room. Look for the 4-H Clover Signs.

All youth ages 5-18, as of January 1, 2021, are welcome to join, no matter what school they attend or if they are home-schooled. The horse club is free to join and helps youth interested in horses to learn more about horses, equestrian equipment, and sometimes even learn riding skills. Youth do not have to own a horse to participate.

As with any of our clubs we would like you to go ahead and enroll so that we can have that part taken care of before the meeting. To enroll go to 4-H Online 2.0 –this site has a link to the enrollment page and some helpful information on how to enroll.

If you have questions please call email Shannon Coleman at shannon_coleman@ncsu.edu or call  (828)837-2210 ext. 4.
