Collapse ▲When Cherokee County 4-H decided to join in on giving out monthly activity kits to youth in December, we didn’t expect to have such a huge turn out. This month we handed out 3 kits to each participant. They received the 4-H Bread in a Bag kit, a sock garden gnome kit, and a milk jug snowman kit. We end up giving 37 participants the kits.
We are planning on doing this on a monthly basis but we will not always have 3 kits and they may not always be free but they will be fun and our youth that participate will “Learn by Doing.” We will definitely have to limit it more probably around 25 participants.
Everyone picking up did a great job of being safe and we can’t wait to see some pictures from our participants making their projects. We already have some pictures from one family that got started last night with their kits.
Be on the look out for next month to get your youth(ages 5-18) registered to receive on of our awesome kits. You will have to register for the kits through our Eventbrite site so keep an eye out here on this website, or our Eventbrite site, and our Facebook page.
