— Written By Keith Wood

On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, starting at 10 a.m., the N.C. Cooperative Extension Service will be partnering with N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Pesticide Section to offer Pesticide Applicator Exams at the Cherokee County Educational Classroom on 699 Connahetta St., Murphy, NC.

Both Private and Commercial Pesticide License exams will be offered. Private Applicators are those who intend to use Restricted Use Pesticides on their own farm or property. Commercial Applicators are those who purchase and apply any pesticides for hire or compensation. Due to the COVID-19 meeting restrictions, we can only accommodate up to 10 people. Please call to register and reserve your seat. Face coverings are not required, but highly encouraged. To order study manuals, go to the NC State University Pesticide Safety website. On the left red bar, click on Pesticide Manuals. If you have any questions and to preregister, please call the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Cherokee County office at 828-837-2210 by Nov 30.
