“Can I pay by credit card?” That is a question we frequently hear at N.C. Cooperative Extension in Cherokee County and, until now, the answer has been “no.” All of that will be changing on January 1, 2020.

Many of you are familiar with Eventbrite for things like community events, races, and concert tickets. You will now be able to register for free and fee-based Extension events advertised through the Eventbrite system and pay via credit card. Our hope is that this new system will make it easier for you, our clients, to register and pay for the courses you’d like to attend. It will also make communications simpler with automated reminders so you’ll never miss a class you’ve registered for and you can register at your convenience. Classes will still be advertised through our traditional channels, online and in local news publications. Certainly, there will be some growing pains as we all learn the limitations of the new system together. However, we are excited to be able to offer this opportunity for your convenience. Please be patient as we roll out the new features. For more information, feel free to give our office a call at 828-837-2210.
