Our new Fly Fishing and Fly Tying 4-H club at Murphy Middle and Murphy High School is looking for some help with the club. We have a great 4-H volunteer leader but we could use some assistants to help with tying and casting. Call Shannon Coleman to find out more about this club and opportunity 828-837-2210 ext. 4.
If you have a talent that you would like to share with youth but don’t have a lot of time to devote to a regular 4-H club that meets monthly you might be interested in volunteering as a 4-H Spin Club/Special Interest Club volunteer. Special Interest programs are a great way to offer a minimum of 6-hours of content-specific programming, giving youth and volunteers that are unable to make the long-term commitment of being in a regular 4-H Club an opportunity to experience 4-H.
