2020 WNC AgOptions Grant Information Session

— Written By

The N.C. Cooperative Extension of Cherokee County office is offering a grant-writing workshop for farmers interested in applying for a WNC AgOptions grant. The WNC AgOptions program works with producers who demonstrate ways to increase farm income to other transitioning farmers, particularly tobacco growers. Projects should increase the sale of farm products and lead to the long-term sustainability of the farm business. The session will be on October 9, 2019, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the downstairs conference room of the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Cherokee County Center. The intent to apply deadline is October 14. The session will cover the 2020 application, changes from last year’s program and tips on writing for a grant. Seating is limited, you will need to call the office 837-2210 and register for this workshop by October 4.
