Price Hedging Crops and Livestock

— Written By

N.C. Cooperative Extension, Cherokee County Center is offering a seminar on hedging crops and livestock. All farmers know commodity prices are very volatile and change from day to day. Hedging with options and futures can offset risk and help producers lock in a profit. Naomi Blohm, a senior market strategist with Stewart-Peterson, is coming to teach the seminar. We are very fortunate to have Naomi who is known throughout the country as an expert in these markets. She is a featured speaker for many different organizations. This will probably be a one time opportunity to learn from one of the best and there is no charge for this seminar! Lunch will be provided.

The seminar will be on December 7, 2018, in the downstairs conference room at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Cherokee County Center starting at 8:30 a.m. and last until 4 p.m. Seating is limited, so call and reserve your seat by December 3.
