Each year for over the past 16 years in November, the Hiwassee Dam Soaring Eagles 4-H Club & Modern Woodmen Club have made pumpkin pies for the senior citizen centers in the area to enjoy around the Thanksgiving holiday.

This year we were a little behind on our traditional before Thanksgiving pies but the clubs and the seniors still wanted to make the pies. Well the seniors wanted to eat the pies.

So on November 27, 2018, the club members that could come made 20 pumpkin pies that were distributed throughout the county to the seniors either at the senior centers or through the meals on wheels.

We hope the seniors enjoyed the pies as much as we enjoyed making them!
