For the second year, the Cherokee County Fair offered a petting zoo with farm animals for folks to handle and observe. Calvin Mashburn was in charge of the exhibit and did another excellent job helping kids get to know various farm animals. The rabbits were probably the biggest hit. There was always a big crowd around them as the kids got to pet and hold the rabbits. Over three hundred dollars was collected from selling feed for folks to hand feed the animals. The money will be used to help fund the Cherokee County 4-H Rabbit Club who held their first rabbit show at the fair.
